We’ve been watching the forecast closely, and with strong wind and rain expected this weekend, we feel it’s best to postpone our Forest Walk & Wander. We want to ensure you have the best possible experience in the forest, so we’ll gather next Saturday, 20 September, from 12–2 pm.

Everything else stays the same — the place, the atmosphere, and the chance to see the Freedom Forest coming to life. You’ll still get to walk among 40,000 young native trees, share some snacks and spend time with others who’ve been part of this journey.

Parking:

Please park at Kindlestown Wood and walk up Ballydonagh Lane. Hawthorn Hill (house entrance) will be the 4th house on the left-hand side leading to the plantation site.
Additionally, if Kindlestown Wood is full up, you can park at Hawthorn Hill (A63 H364). We recommend you drive from the East side of the Ballydonagh lane from Greystones, as the western end is rough.
